The Actions & Consequences of Our commander-in-chief
On January 20, 2025, Donald J. Trump was elected as president of the United States. Trump did not served in the military and is the first president with felony convictions. With that came a drastic change in allegiances from inside our nation and out. Veterans were one of the first groups that got hit hard even though there were warnings before Trump was elected as president that Veterans would be targeted.
The purpose of this forum is to document the actions of our current commander-in-chief and to disseminate the consequences of these actions and how it impacts Navy personnel, their families, veterans, and our allies or former allies as this may affect any conflict we are involved with in the future: Keep your seabag packed.

Less than a year after its last deployment, USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN-72) quietly departed Friday from Naval Station San Diego, Calif., for a Pacific deployment, USNI News has learned. A Pentagon official confirmed Abraham Lincoln deployed to the Pacific as part of Carrier Strike Group 3, the embarked Carrier Air Wing 9 and Arleigh Burke guided-missile destroyer USS Frank E. Petersen Jr. (DDG-121), which is serving as the air defense commander platform for the CSG. No other details were available. -
Kelly, a retired Navy captain, was one of six Democratic lawmakers who posted a video last week to remind members of the military and intelligence community that they do not need to obey illegal orders. Trump lashed out at those Democrats at the time, calling for their arrests and labeling them as “traitors.”

The Pentagon said on Monday that it is investigating Arizona Sen. Mark Kelly, one of six Democratic lawmakers who made a video posted to social media last week reminding active duty service members that they can refuse to follow illegal orders. In a statement, the Pentagon said that Kelly, a retired Navy pilot, could be recalled to active duty for “court-martial proceedings” or other measures related to his alleged misconduct.

Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senators Ron Wyden and Jeff Merkley said today they have joined their colleagues in urging the Trump administration to reverse its decision delaying cleanups of toxic chemicals at hundreds of military installations in Oregon and nationwide. The senators also sought protections for military families and nearby communities from contamination by per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) at the affected sites.
