The Actions & Consequences of Our commander-in-chief
On January 20, 2025, Donald J. Trump was elected as president of the United States. Trump did not served in the military and is the first president with felony convictions. With that came a drastic change in allegiances from inside our nation and out. Veterans were one of the first groups that got hit hard even though there were warnings before Trump was elected as president that Veterans would be targeted.
The purpose of this forum is to document the actions of our current commander-in-chief and to disseminate the consequences of these actions and how it impacts Navy personnel, their families, veterans, and our allies or former allies as this may affect any conflict we are involved with in the future: Keep your seabag packed.

Lawmakers plan to withhold a quarter of Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth’s travel budget until the Pentagon provides them with the videos. A new report about a military cover up had one former GOP lawmaker calling the debacle "absolutely incredible and wrong." According to the report, "two detainees were brought on board a US Navy vessel, one in apparent medical distress having survived an explosive boat strike. Shipboard personnel followed standing protocol and code to capture video and photo documentation of the onboarding of these individuals, and then were given the dubious order to delete that footage."

Helping veterans get through the red tape of applying for VA disability benefits has become a multibillion-dollar industry over the past decade. Which might be surprising, because charging vets for such help may be against federal law. An investigation by The War Horse and NPR reveals that over the past 10 years, the Department of Veterans Affairs has sent more than 40 letters to dozens of claims consulting companies, sometimes called “claims sharks” by critics, warning them to review their practices and “immediately cease” any illegal activities.
