    • While Robinson described his naval career as rewarding, he also recalled moments that tested his training and instincts. During one dive, Robinson said he heard reports of flooding shortly after the submarine submerged. He said water quickly moved through multiple levels of the submarine, prompting an emergency response by the crew.
    • Earlier this week our commander announced that only Christmas decorations were allowed in the headquarters facility where I work and under his command. He made it clear that the recognition of any other type of celebration would be unacceptable “wokeness” which would not be tolerated under his command. He often speaks his views that DEI is a cancer. He says it is destroying our country and our military. The next day there were four nativity scene displays erected in our headquarters complex. He says he has an “open door policy”. So I made an appointment to come see him and asked about whether we could also have Hanukkah displays up. He seemed upset and said that since “it is well known that Hanukkah is the Jewish Christmas” Jewish personnel should be satisfied when they see a Christmas display that it also includes Hanukkah. Obviously that statement is just FUBAR!
    • (MRFF representative’s name and rank withheld) connected us with Mr. Weinstein almost immediately after this happened. I won’t go into all of the specifics here as to how Mr. Weinstein contacted our chain of command to fix this. But two days later our commander addressed the matter at another (military unit nomenclature withheld) meeting and apologized for what our military unit supervisor had said about asking who had been “saved.”
    • MRFF typically represents service members who believe their rights are impacted by religious favoritism or political messaging within the military. The Military Religious Freedom Foundation (MRFF) is dedicated to ensuring that all members of the United States Armed Forces fully receive the Constitutional guarantee of religious freedom to which they and all Americans are entitled by virtue of the Establishment Clause of the First Amendment. Nearly 100,000 active duty, reserve, National Guard, cadets and midshipmen, DoD and VA civilian personnel, veterans, clients among the 18 national security agencies, DHS (Coast Guard), and DOT (U.S. Maritime Service), ROTC, including individuals involved in High School JROTC around the nation, have come to our foundation for redress and assistance in resolving or alerting the public to their civil rights grievances, with hundreds more contacting MRFF each day. 95% of them are Christians themselves.
    • And yet another article on the Department of WAAH trampling on active-duty member's rights... No Pentagon investigation has been publicly announced regarding MRFF’s claims. The key question now is whether commanders used unit expectations, scheduling, or implied consequences in ways that made service members feel their attendance was required, even without a Defense Department directive.
