You can also check for people at your command who sat the board or commands local to you that have people who sat the board. Nothing wrong with reaching out to people and introducing yourself.

They will correct what needs correcting and then proceed.

I feel ya on that. I prefer having the Skipper and CMC come talk to each selectee in person. I realize in large commands this isn’t exactly practical though but it is a very personal moment. For those that are not selected, the CMC talking to those folks goes a long way in my book.

How do you all feel about the best way of notifying Sailors if they get selected? Also, what is the best way to let a Sailor who wasn’t selected know?

That was got me to join in the first place. All of us come from somewhere and we all have something to say, plus I learned a lot from everyone on here over the years.......even before I signed up. This is the most exciting time when anxiety goes up a little and we get to really hear what people are thinking!
