Hi!

This proud, old sailor, Ole Gabriel Olsen from Norway, served in US Navy for more than 30 years, from 1885 until he retired in 1916. He is my Great-great-grandfather.
I believe I have identified all his medals, except one.

Anyone know for sure what the upper left medal is? ...the one with the five hands cross?

The others I believe is

  • Lower right: "Good Conduct" 1886 =>
  • Lower middle: "Sampson Medal", Spanish War, 1898 (1901)
  • Lower left: "Spanish War Veterans", 1898-1902
  • Upper right: "West Indies Campaign", 1898 (1908)

If someone see me wrong, please make me aware... :)

Regards,
Arne Drangeid
