Navy sailor dies after crash at Fort Story; suspect in custody

A civilian crashed into a base security vehicle Saturday night in Fort Story, fatally injuring a sailor and leaving the suspect hospitalized, the Navy said.

The suspect, a civilian male who has not been identified, entered the outbound lane at Gate 8 at about 7:35 p.m. Saturday, driving at a high rate of speed.
