A sailor killed Friday by Naval Air Station Oceana security personnel after he shot a coworker has been identified by the Navy as Christopher J. Ruffier, a 26-year-old airman apprentice.

Oceana commanding officer Capt. Chad Vincelette said Ruffier shot a female sailor multiple times in a parking lot for Strike Fighter Squadron 37 around 6:45 a.m. Friday. Security personnel responded minutes later and shot Ruffier, an Ohio native who worked as an aviation ordnanceman.  https://pilotonline.com/news/military/article_c0ad7410-5a3b-11e9-94f6-57c4b788106c.html
