**The policy changes do NOT affect members who already have an approved TEB request**

Effective 10/1/18, ALL members (officers AND enlisted) must complete a statement of understanding (SOU) in the My Education website BEFORE submitting a TEB request.  The SOU replaces the Page 13 formerly required for Officers and SELRES members.  Enlisted members are still required to have the correct amount of obligated service on an enlistment contract in order to be eligible for transferability. Refer to NAVADMIN 236/18 for guidance:  click here

**The SOU IS NOT REQUIRED FOR MEMBERS WHO ALREADY HAVE AN APPROVED TEB REQUEST**
