The Navy will begin issuing a new version of fire-retardant coveralls in the next couple of months, replacing the uniform currently worn by nearly all sailors at sea.

It marks the end of an extensive effort to develop and field fire-retardant uniforms for shipboard sailors because a previous one — the Navy Working Uniform Type I — was a safety hazard that melted when exposed to flames. https://www.navytimes.com/news/your-navy/2018/02/02/the-navy-is-rolling-out-new-coveralls-finally/
