AMPN/REF A IS NAVADMIN 004/17, VOLUNTARY ENTENTION OF ENLISTMENT TO COMPLETE 
PRESCRIBED SEA TOUR FOR FIRST-TERM PERSONNEL//

RMKS/1.  The purpose of this NAVADMIN is to extend the deadline for 
submitting extension requests as announced in reference (a) from 28 February 
2017 to 31 December 2017.  All other provisions of reference (a) remain the 
same.

2.  There has been an overwhelmingly positive response to this initiative 
which enables professionally skilled and trained Sailors to continue to 
develop and contribute at sea.  The Sailors who volunteer under this 
initiative will benefit from additional opportunities to advance and apply 
for reenlistment quotas.

3.  This NAVADMIN will remain in effect until 31 January 2019, unless 
canceled sooner.
