Scrapyard or museum? After 10 years, still no firm plans for former carrier USS John F. Kennedy

It’s been 10 years since the Navy decommissioned the USS John F. Kennedy and left Mayport Naval Station without an aircraft carrier for the first time in years.

Now it looks like it’s facing the same fate as the Kennedy’s predecessor, the USS Saratoga, headed for a scrapyard instead of being turned into a museum to preserve its historical significance. https://www.stripes.com/news/us/scrapyard-or-museum-after-10-years-still-no-firm-plans-for-former-carrier-uss-john-f-kennedy-1.504665

There is still an issue where people registering do not receive the validation email once they sign up on this forum. If you do not receive and respond to the validation email, it will not allow you to become a member. Please check your spam boxes or ask your IT for assistance and whitelist NavyAdvancement.com if you are able to do so.  This is the message I see: "Member has not yet responded to registration validation email."

    1. 1. Do you believe a higher operational tempo worldwide is contributing to more accidents at sea?
