If your training record is updated in NSIPS but not OMPF, go to the Navy Personnel Command website - On the left side of the screen select: Boards -Reserve Enlisted - CPO Selection Boards - Pull up FY 13 CPO Selection Board NAVADMIN 349/11, Paragraph 7(G):

“IN MANY CASES, UP-TO-DATE INFORMATION VIEWABLE IN NSIPS ELECTRONIC SERVICE RECORD (ESR) MAY NOT BE CONTAINED IN A CANDIDATE'S OMPF. THEREFORE, IF DOCUMENTS THAT CANDIDATES WANT THE BOARD TO REVIEW ARE NOT VIEWABLE VIA "OMPF MY RECORD", THEY MUST SUBMIT THOSE DOCUMENTS, ALONG WITH A COVER LETTER TO THE SELECTION BOARD PRESIDENT, TO BE REVIEWED BY THIS BOARD.”

According to the above, you can print your Training Summary from NSIPS and submit to the Board. That’s what I’m going to do, because my OMPF file will not be updated until I am off active duty orders.

Good luck to everyone!!!

He is correct, also the report generator in nsips will generate a 1070/881 , which if you look at the ompf instruction is a valid form for submission to ompf also i actually just did this a few months back, I'm on shore duty we don't use r admin here so i started doing some research i generated the qualifications report sent it into bupers and now all four pages of qualifications, school, training , college are in my ompf . So you could submit this with your package for sure , just be sure to get it submitted to your ompf later as the things you submit to the board does not get put into your ompf . any more questions on this hit me up with a message.

AO1,

Is the report generator on the same page where you see your training, or is it a seperate tab?

*** Here are the exact steps I took to get the 1070/881 into my OMPF. First I verified that this document could be submitted into my OMPF in the BUPERINST 1070.27C this is the document submission guidelines for OMPF instruction. Then I went to into my NSIPs and did the following. On the main screen click on view training, education, and qualifications. Next click on training summary. Now scroll all the way to the bottom of the members information on this screen and click the qualification history button. You will then get something that looks like this

*** The Form can be retrieved by Process Instance 5306027 in the NSIPS Report Manager. (26000,1109)

*** Navigate to NSIPS Report Manager, then select report for the process instance number.

*** Now if you look over to the left pane at the bottom of all those links you will see NSIPS Report manager click into that link.

*** You will then see a line item that has view report out to the right when the yellow view report button is available click it , it sometimes takes a few minutes just keep hitting refresh and it will turn yellow . Next you will have three links click the one that ends in .PDF this is the one you can actually view and print out.

I got this information courtesy of AO1(AW/SW), so he is to thank for this information.

There is a really good PDF under the career news tab that discusses reocrd verification. Its gives a step by step process that can only help a person who is SBE!

If anyone has not seen it the 1070/881 NSIPS generates for submission to your OMPF does not show your LOCAL QUAL/CERT HISTORY block showing your QUAL DATE that you see when you are logged into NSIPS. But you can down load that section and place in EXCEL and have your CCC sign it as an True Original Copy for board submission.
